The Gupta.... The Advanced Empire!!! Of all the great dynasties and empires the Gupta Dynasty rules above all. It was not only a civilization, they were extremely advanced for their time. For there technology and other advancements they were extremely early, about 100 years in front of Europe. This dynasty was very civilized it ruled from 280 C.E. to 550 C.E.What they ruled covered most of northern India, southern and eastern Pakistan parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan, which is now known as western India and Bangladesh. The capital of the Gupta Empire being Pataliputra, which is now known as Patna in the state Bihar. The Gupta Dynasty time period is known as the "Golden Age of India," and with the Gupta technology surpassing all other civilizations of its time, it surely was golden. After the death of one of the greatest leaders Chandra Gupta II the empire started to fall. During Chandra Gupta II(375-415 C.E.) Indian arts flourished.The new leaders were not capable of bringing it back to its prime. Then invaders from the Northwest brought the Gupta Empire to an end.

Historians place the Gupta dynasty alongside with the Han Dynasty, Tang Dynasty and Roman Empire as a model of a classical civilization. The time of the Gupta Empire is referred to by some scholars as the Golden Age of India in science, mathematics, astronomy, religion and Indian philosophy.
